Virtual New & Full Moon Events Bi-Monthly

There is a New and Full Moon every single month and every six months they become Eclipses. I host a virtual moon event for every single one of them! We always meet at 4:30pm PT / 6:30pm CST / 7:30pm ET the day of the New or Full Moon, which varies each month. If a Moon cycle falls on a Friday or Saturday, we do the Thursday prior because weekends are sacred. They are included in my membership, Astro Curious, but are open to non-members to be purchased a la carte. They are 60min (longer for Eclipses) and are recorded if you can’t be there live.

What we cover in each moon event:

  • Astrological update of the energy surrounding this moon cycle

  • A quick reminder walk-through of how to find where this moon cycle falls for you personally in your chart and what it means for you

  • PDF of moon cycle through houses

  • Intuitive card pull

  • Intention setting + manifesting

  • Recording in case you can't make it live!

NEW MOONS

Ah, New Moons – the universe hitting that cosmic "refresh" button. The New Moon is the phase of the Moon when it is positioned between the Earth and the Sun, and its illuminated side faces away from us, making it appear dark in the sky. New Moons mark the beginning of the lunar cycle and are considered a potent time for new beginnings, setting intentions, starting new projects, and initiating change. The moon begins to grow (waxing in moon-speak) on a New Moon, reaching it’s peak on the the Full Moon a couple of weeks later. Hence why we set goals and intentions that we want to see grow during this time-- just like the moon is growing, so are the things we set in motion at this time! Think of the dark sky being like the Moon's own version of a fresh start, a clean slate. The dark sky is also symbolic of us having to go inward and rely on our intuition instead of external guidance. It is a great time to get quiet, get clear about what we want to manifest and start visualizing how to get it.

On a New Moon, the Sun and Moon are in the same zodiac sign, at the same degree, emphasizing that zodiac sign’s energy and themes for everyone. For example, a New Moon in Aries may have everyone asserting themselves and taking bold actions, while a New Moon in Leo could remind us to tap into our childlike wonder and creativity. While it is the sign’s themes that everyone, collectively, will be feeling and noticing— where that sign and degree falls in your personal birth chart is key to knowing how the New Moon will impact you specifically. We have all 12 zodiac signs in our birth chart and hold the qualities of each sign within us (even if we don’t have planets in those signs). Those signs occupy a “House” (aka area of life) in our birth chart. So while everyone gets a nice cosmic reminder to give attention to those zodiac sign’s specific qualities on a New Moon, individually, we get a personal cosmic reminder to give attention to the area of life that this New Moon falls in our chart.

Say there is a New Moon in Leo at 5 degrees. Where does 5 degrees of Leo fall in your personal chart? This is the House (area of life) you will experience this new beginning energy. You could be implementing a change here or one could be thrust upon you. Finding where things like New Moons hit your chart is the real beauty of Astrology, imo. We can prepare, be aware and trust the growth that is trying to emerge here. (If you’re like “wtf? How do I find where 5 degrees Leo falls in my chart?”— Don’t worry, I will show you how to do this! I will also cover the 12 Houses and what to expect when a New Moon impacts them!)

FULL MOONS

h- Full Moons, the universe hitting the panic button…just kidding! The Full Moon is the phase when the entire illuminated side of the Moon is facing Earth. The Full Moon is often seen as a time of completion, heightened energy, and emotional intensity. The Moon is at its peak fullness during a Full Moon. So, we may notice things “reach their peak” during this time - this can be exciting like a wrap up of a project that’s taken a lot of hard work, or it can be a tough like emotions hitting their peak. Ever notice how everyone’s a little nutty around Full Moons? Hospitals are always busier, animals and kids act up, sleep is disturbed - hello, peak lunar energy! Knowing when the Full Moons are is always a nice heads up for remaining chill amongst the cray.

From a Full Moon until the New Moon, the Moon is shrinking (“waning" in moon-speak). Think of it as shedding. As the Moon sheds, it offers a time when we too can shed and release the things that are holding us back or getting in the way of our manifestations. This can range from limiting beliefs, habits, literal clutter, or straight up releasing people and jobs that need to go. When we release these things that are holding us back we create space for things to enter. The sky is bright during a Full Moon - think of them as flashlights. They illuminate what isn't working or create epiphanies so that we can make change.

The Sun and Moon are across the sky from each other during a Full Moon. They are in the exact same degree but in opposite zodiac signs. This is called an “opposition”-- a tense aspect in Astrology. There's an emphasis on finding balance between opposing forces. This can relate to various aspects of life, such as work and home, self and others, or different desires and needs. Each zodiac sign has an opposite sign or “sister sign”. Although they have contrasting qualities and characteristics, they also complement each other and can learn from each other's strengths. These relationships can be both harmonious and challenging, as they provide opportunities for growth and balance. Hence why Full Moons can be challenging yet a time of significant growth.

What zodiac signs the Sun and Moon are in during the Full Moon will show us the themes that we all collectively will be trying to balance during that lunar cycle. Say the Full moon is in Pisces at 22 degrees. That means that the sun is in Virgo at 22 degrees (Virgo, the opposite sign of Pisces, always). Virgo is all about the details, schedules, health, day-to-day grind, the practical. A Full Moon illuminates the need to embrace the opposite sign of Pisces so that we can find balance. Pisces is the imagination, intuition, solitude, subconscious, mental health, spirituality. An example to tie this together is— say you have been so caught up in the day to day grind, you’re thriving with working out and eating right (Virgo) but you feel stressed, exhausted, irritable and unfulfilled. The Pisces Full Moon reminds you to not neglect the emotional or spiritual side of your health! This is the key to feeling more balanced and fulfilled.

But where we personally feel the impact of the Full Moon is based on where that Full Moon hits our personal birth chart. In this example, where does 22 degrees of Pisces fall in your birth chart? This House (area of life) is where you can experience an ending, release, fulfillment or clarity. It also offers the balance needed for the the opposite house, where the Sun is. Finding where things like Full Moons hit your personal chart is the real beauty of Astrology, imo. We can prepare, be aware, trust the endings that are happening and acknowledge that it is time to release in order to make room for even greater things. (If you’re like “wtf? How do I find where 22 degrees Pisces falls in my chart?”— Don’t worry, I will show you how to do this! I will also cover the 12 Houses and what to expect when a New Moon impacts them!)
